Ely St John's Football Team

Ely St John's Primary School has recently started playing in matches against other local schools. Having acquired a kit, Sigma Embroidery noticed they did not have their school logo on the kit. To boost morale and increase the feeling of playing as a team for their school, Sigma Embroidery offered to print the logo onto their tops.

Embroidered Caps

It was a first this week for Sigma Embroidery.
After some training from the great service engineer from GS UK we can now embroider onto caps, something we have avoided for a while.
Our first customer for embroidered caps was a local company requiring 12 embroidered caps for a golf tournament.
We will now offer embroidery onto caps (minimum order of 10).

Congratulations Carl Spickett

Sigma Embroidery would like to congratulate Carl Spickett on completing the London Marathon 2014 in aid of the Stickler Syndrome Support Group. Carl who ran last year with the talented Mr Martin Snead, ran again this year and completed the course in a very respectable 4 hours 36 minutes. Carl sustained an injury around mile 20 but kept going.

Sigma Embroidery produced the top for Carl to wear on the day.

T-shirt Evening at Brownies

At Sigma Embroidery, Jamie and Kim have been very excited this week as they prepare for a T-shirt designing and making evening with the Ely brownies tomorrow night.

During the session we will demonstrate how to design and print T-shirts and then help the group to produce their own. The sessions proved a big hit last year and we hope to run many more sessions this year throughout Cambridgeshire.

If we get some time, we will take some photos of the finished products for you.

Products of the Week

Having set up our personalised gift wall, we have decided to have a product of the week and a design of the week, to showcase all our great products.

This week, our product of the week is a ceramic personalised money box available to buy from Sigma Embroidery. You can send us a photograph or an image, or choose from our array of images to print onto the money box. It doesn't stop there we can add a name, date of birth or any other memorable date onto the money box to make it truly personalised.

If you are unsure of ideas take a look at our website for some designs.

The design of the week is of an iconic spitfire put together with Winston Churchill's most memorable saying, what do you all think? We can print this image onto a hoodie or T-shirt or any of our printable products.

Printwear and Promotion Show NEC 2014

The printwear and promotion show is held annually at the NEC. This year Sigma Embroidery where lucky enough to attend. Kim went with Clive Hampson (from Hampson Haulage) on Monday and Tammy and Jamie attended on Tuesday.
We took a look at the latest embroidery, and Direct to Garment machinery available (we now need to work hard to be able to afford some of new equipment).
Several of our suppliers were there and we took the time to discuss with them the newest trends in garments and gifts.
Kim attended the seminar on social media by Deconetwork, which was one of the best seminars Kim has attended in a long time, she found Natchi Lazarus very inspirational. Other seminars attended included DTG printing and improving the quality of your embroidery.
A new technique incorporating vinyl printing and embroidery was one of Kim's favourite new ideas, see pictures. Jamie needs to get to work with some new designs for us, once his feet have recovered.......

Updates next week on our discoveries.

Introducing The Revival to Sigma Embroidery

Sigma Embroidery's very own Jamie Cranwell has launched his very own clothing brand 'The Revival'. We asked Jamie to describe his inspiration behind the Revival and this is what he said.
'The Revival is a new retro themed brand based in Cambridgeshire. The brand's designs feature a range of Subcultures and celebrated the trends, music, fashion, sports and historic events during these times and how they still influence people today'.
We wish Jamie all the best for his new brand. All the products are available from Sigma Embroidery, so take a look you know you want too.

Kim attended her first ever Ely WiRE meeting on Friday, and luckily found out the delights of blogging thanks to Chloe Giles. Sigma Embroidery is now the proud owner of a blog. Lets hope this is the first of many more. Please be patient with us as we get to grips with this new found area of social media.

Busy Week

Here at Sigma Embroidery (www.sigmaembroidery.co.uk) we had an exciting week, completing several large jobs, including 80 personalised polos for a stag do, (yes 80 people on one stag do!), and 500 polos for a company based in Waterbeach. Next week we are looking forward to creating 30 hoodies for a local school's skiing trip. Let's hope Kim, Tammy and Jamie all get a good weekends rest!
